Publication Ethics

Journal of Organizational Innovation and Management

The Journal of Organizational Innovation and Management upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The following principles outline the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure the quality, accuracy, and ethical conduct of all publications.

Duties of Authors

  1. Accuracy and Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data, analyses, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts. Fabrication, falsification, or any form of data misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
  2. Originality and Authorship: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and manuscript preparation.
  3. Avoidance of Misconduct: Authors must prevent academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data breaches, duplicate submissions, and any violations compromising academic integrity.
  4. Proper Attribution: When using the work of others, authors must provide complete and accurate citations both in-text and in the reference list, following the journal’s citation style.
  5. Error Correction: If errors or inaccuracies are discovered after publication, authors are obligated to promptly notify the journal to enable corrections, retractions, or clarifications as necessary.
  6. Compliance with Guidelines: Authors must adhere to the journal’s formatting, submission, and ethical standards as specified in the Author Guidelines.
  7. Responsibility for Opinions: All opinions expressed in the manuscript are solely those of the authors. The journal assumes no responsibility for such views in cases of copyright or content disputes.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Objective Evaluation: Reviewers must critically assess manuscripts for quality, originality, clarity, and scholarly contribution, providing constructive and unbiased feedback.
  2. Confidentiality: All manuscript materials and review comments must remain confidential and must not be shared with unauthorized parties.
  3. Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline assignments if conflicts of interest—personal, financial, or academic—could compromise impartiality.
  4. Academic Integrity: If plagiarism, duplication, or ethical violations are detected, reviewers must promptly notify the editorial team for further investigation.
  5. Decision Recommendations: Reviewers should provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection, based on recognized academic standards.

Duties of Editors

  1. Editorial Responsibility: Editors are responsible for selecting manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope, academic standards, and ethical requirements.
  2. Quality and Integrity: Editors must ensure the continuous improvement of the journal’s quality and uphold the highest academic and ethical standards.
  3. Impartiality: Publication decisions must be made independently, free from personal, financial, or organizational bias.
  4. Constructive Engagement: Editors should consider reviewers’ feedback to enhance the rigor and clarity of published articles.
  5. Error Management: When necessary, editors must issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions promptly and transparently.
  6. Intellectual Property Protection: Editors must safeguard authors’ intellectual property rights and prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of unpublished materials.
  7. Confidentiality: Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding manuscript submissions and author information unless explicit permission is granted.
  8. Conflict of Interest Management: Systems must be in place to identify and address conflicts of interest involving editors, staff, authors, reviewers, or editorial board members.
