University of the West with the guidelines and roles for the propagation of Buddhism in the USA

Abstract

This article aims to study the roles and guidelines in Buddhism propagation of the West University. It was founded by the Fo Guang Shan Temple from Taiwan. Document study methods, surveys, interviews, and spatial data were used to write essays. The study found that the university has been open for more than 30 years. The study was organized by temples and monks in the Mahayana side. Accepting both Buddhist and foreign students with education management both at the bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctorate, resulting in learning and development in conjunction with the holistic management of Buddhism education There are more than 250 students in the current academic year who are responsible for effective education and propagation of Buddhism in the English language in the United States.
