Development of Learning Achievement in Thai for Vocational Purposes Through Summary Writing from Documents by First-Year Vocational Certificate Students Using The “Happy Reading Summary” Website

Abstract
This article aimed to (1) develop and evaluate the efficiency of the 'Happy Reading Summary' website for first-year vocational certificate students based on the 80/80 criterion, and (2) compare the academic achievement in Thai language for careers on summary writing skills among first-year vocational certificate students before and after learning with the 'Happy Reading Summary' website. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design. The sample group consisted of 15 first year vocational certificate students enrolled at Phang Nga College of Agriculture and Technology during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. Purposive sampling was employed using a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The research instruments were (1) “Happy Reading Summary” website (2) the learning management plan, and (3) the academic achievement test for Thai language for careers on writing a summary of information, Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test. The findings of this study revealed that. 1) The 'Happy Reading Summary' website achieved an efficiency value of 80.88/83.75, meeting the established criteria. 2) Students' learning achievement in Thai language for careers, specifically in summary writing from information, after instruction with the 'Happy Reading Summary' website was significantly higher than before instruction at the .05 significance level, confirming the research hypothesis.
