The Relationship Between Competencies of College Administrators in the 21st Century to College Effectiveness under The Office of Vocational Education Commission in Songkhla

Abstract
This research article aims to study (1) the competency level of school administrators in the 21st century in private vocational education institutions, (2) the effectiveness level of management in private vocational education institutions, (3) the relationship between the competencies of 21st-century administrators and the effectiveness of private vocational education institutions, and (4) guidelines for developing the competencies of 21st-century school administrators in private vocational education institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Songkhla Province. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, with a sample group consisting of 196 school administrators selected through simple random sampling. The data collection tools include a questionnaire assessing the relationship between the competencies of 21st-century school administrators and the effectiveness of private vocational education institutions, as well as in-depth interviews. The statistical methods used for data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and content analysis from interviews. The study results reveal that: 1) the competency level of 21st-century school administrators in private vocational education institutions is high overall and in specific areas; 2) the effectiveness level of management in private vocational education institutions is very high overall and in specific areas; 3) there is a strong positive relationship between the competencies of 21st-century school administrators and the effectiveness of private vocational education institutions; and 4) guidelines for developing the achievement-oriented competencies of 21st-century school administrators in private vocational education institutions indicate that (1) administrators should be committed to performing their duties with quality, (2) they should foster and promote subordinates to work effectively, (3) there should be clear work goals, (4) they should demonstrate creativity and continuously develop their work, and (5) they should be responsible for achieving management success while emphasizing transparency.
