A study on the academic achievement of 4th-grade students in Social Studies through the On-Hand learning model at Wat Ban Ao School (Ban Ao Wittayakan), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

Abstract

            This quantitative research aims to 1) To study, analyze, and compare the academic achievement in the On-Hand learning model in Social Studies before and after learning. The research tools used include lesson plans, worksheets, multiple-choice tests (4 options), and an academic achievement test (4-option multiple-choice). The sample group consisted of 24 fourth-grade students from Wat Ban Ao School (Ban Ao Wittayakan). Statistical methods employed were Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.), Percentage, and t-test for comparing academic achievement.

            The findings revealed that : the analysis of learning achievement using the On Hand model showed that the average test score was 89.44% before learning and 94.72% after learning. Vocabulary learning ability improved by 59.17%, indicating that the effectiveness of the process surpassed the set 80/80 benchmark. Additionally, the learning achievement in Social Studies among fourth-grade students at Wat Ban Ao School (Ban Ao Wittayakarn) showed a statistically significant increase in post-learning average scores compared to pre-learning scores at a .05 significance level, with a critical t-value of 18.2, supporting the research hypothesis.
