Business Administration Based on the Practice of Viriya Parami

This academic article aims to study and analyze business administration based on Viriya Parami, which is one of the ten perfections in Theravada Buddhism. The study employed a documentary approach through the analysis of textbooks, research, and relevant academic articles, along with Buddhist philosophical interpretation, in order to present practical guidelines for applying Viriya Parami to business administration. This approach addresses the challenges of today’s VUCA world, which is characterized by uncertainty and intense competition. The analysis reveals that the application of Viriya Parami can strengthen the inner power of individuals and organizations, thereby enhancing resilience and the ability to recover from crises. Moreover, it elevates the meaning of business administration from merely profit-oriented activities to the creation of value and sustainability in line with the concepts of sustainable development and inner development. The conceptual contribution derived from this study can be summarized as “Business Administration based on Viriya Parami,” which consists of five key components: inner power, virtuous perseverance, sustainable organization, leadership transformation, and Buddhist-oriented business administration.
