Management Factors and Educational Quality of Schools Affiliated with the Office of the Private Education Promotion Commission in a Certain Region of Thailand

Abstract

          This study aimed to (1) examine the level of school management factors, (2) assess the level of educational quality in private schools, and (3) investigate the relationship between management factors and the educational quality of schools affiliated with the Office of the Private Education Promotion Commission in a certain region of Thailand. The sample consisted of 381 educational personnel from private schools in a specific region. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument for data collection. The questionnaire was validated for content validity using the Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) method by three experts, yielding an IOC range of 0.67 to 1.00. The reliability of the instrument, as measured by Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, was 0.908. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient to analyze relationships between variables. The research findings revealed that: (1) Overall, school management factors were at a high level. In descending order, the ranking of these factors was a focus on personnel, a focus on students, leadership, strategic planning, and process management. (2) The overall educational quality of the schools was also at a high level. When ranked in descending order, the aspects were academic achievement, management and work skills, desirable student attributes, and self-directed learning skills. (3) A moderate positive correlation was found between school management factors and educational quality, with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
