Drone Warfare from the past to the future:
Main Article Content
Abstract
It can be stated that drones originated as early as the nineteenth century with the objective of gaining military advantage and enhancing the security of armed forces. With the persistence of this underlying concept, drones have been continuously developed to achieve increasingly advanced capabilities. From initially serving merely as weapons designed to strike targets directly, they evolved into targets for weapons training, intelligence-gathering platforms in high-risk areas, and assets with electronic warfare capabilities, eventually attaining the ability to conduct precision strikes comparable to those of manned aircraft. The roles played by drones in both past and present have demonstrated their significant potential in military applications. Consequently, it is not surprising that nations around the world are accelerating drone development and formulating appropriate plans for their future employment.
