Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript Format

Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word on A4-size paper, single-sided, with approximately 25 lines per page in portrait orientation. The font must be TH SarabunPSK, font size 16 pt. Page numbers should appear at the top-right corner of each page, except for the first page. The manuscript should not exceed 15 pages in length.

The page setup and margins must be configured as follows:

  • Top margin: 2.54 cm
  • Bottom margin: 2.54 cm
  • Left margin: 2.54 cm
  • Right margin: 2.54 cm
  • Header: 1.25 cm
  • Footer: 1.25 cm

Title, Author(s), and Affiliation(s)

The title in both Thai and English must be centered and typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 18 pt, bold. Author names and affiliations must be provided in both Thai and English.

Author names must be typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, bold, without academic titles or honorifics. Affiliations must be typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, bold, and should include the program, department, faculty, university, institution, or organization, together with the corresponding email address. If there is more than one author, the corresponding author must be clearly identified.

Abstract

The heading “Abstract” must be aligned left and typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, bold. The abstract content and keywords must be typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, regular.

Thai-language articles must include both Thai and English abstracts. English-language articles must include an English abstract and may optionally include a Thai abstract. The combined length of both abstracts must not exceed one A4 page. Abstracts should be prepared in a single-column format and contain approximately 250 words.

Keywords must be provided at the end of the abstract, with no more than five keywords.

Content

Main headings must be aligned left and typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, bold. The body text under each heading must be typed in TH SarabunPSK font, size 16 pt, regular.

Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be clear and of high quality. Photographs should preferably be original images. If figures or images are reproduced from other sources, proper academic citations must be provided.

The term “Figure” must be used for images, and “Table” must be used for tables.

References

References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style according to the following guidelines.

1) References should be current and mostly published within the last 10–15 years, except for classical works, important concepts, or theories that remain relevant and widely cited.

2) In-text Citation

The author-date citation system must be used, and only English surnames should appear in in-text citations.

One Author

  • Yaempoklarng (2012)
  • (Yaempoklarng, 2012)

Two Authors

Use “and” when the authors’ names are part of the narrative sentence and “&” when cited in parentheses.

  • Klinkul and Sartnonnut (2009)
  • (Klinkul & Sartnonnut, 2009)

Three or More Authors

Use the surname of the first author followed by “et al.” from the first citation onward.

  • Hair et al. (1998)
  • (Hair et al., 1998)

Direct Quotations

For direct quotations, page numbers must also be provided.

  • Hair et al. (1998, p. 25)
  • (Hair et al., 1998, p. 25)

3) Reference List

The reference list must be arranged in a single-column format and ordered alphabetically by English surnames.

All Thai references must be translated into English. The English-translated reference must appear first, followed by the original Thai reference. The phrase “(in Thai)” must be added at the end of the English-translated reference.

Additional APA 7 Guidelines

  • Journal titles and book titles must be italicized.
  • DOI must be presented in URL format, for example: https://doi.org/xxxxx
  • The phrase “Retrieved from” is not required.
  • Retrieval dates are not necessary for general websites unless the content is designed to change over time.
  • For works with more than 20 authors, list the first 19 authors, followed by an ellipsis (…) and the final author’s name.
  • Use “&” before the final author’s name in English reference entries.

***All manuscripts submitted to the editorial board must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Manuscript Submission

Authors may register and submit manuscripts via the ThaiJo submission system.

After the peer-review process has been completed, the editorial board will determine whether the manuscript should be:

  • Accepted for publication,
  • Returned to the author for major or minor revisions, or
  • Rejected.

The editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision regarding publication. Publication fees are non-refundable under any circumstances if the manuscript is rejected.
