Perception and Attitude Towards Self-Directed Learning of Undergraduate Students, Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University

Abstract

          Studying the perception and attitude towards self-directed learning of undergraduate students, Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University focuses on studying and understanding the learning process of students in higher education situations like Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University. The objective is to study the perception and attitude toward self-directed learning of undergraduate students. The sample group used in the study was 200 undergraduate students of Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University, obtained by determining the sample size by Accidental Random sampling. The data collection tool was a research questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. As for the qualitative data, content analysis was used and presented descriptively. The research results found that:
          1. Perception and attitude towards self-directed learning of undergraduate students at Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University. (1) Good at finding resources to help study at university: Average 4.33. (2) Opinion that self-discovery can be more beneficial than studying in the classroom: average 4.32. (3) Regular self-learning outside of class: average 4.32. (4) Belief in self-regulation for learning: average 4.19. (5) Opinion that inspiration and motivation influence learning: average 4.17. (6) Opinion that awareness and self-regulation can be applied in learning: average 4.19. (7) Seeing that self-learning based on self-initiation is important to success in study and the future: average 4.30. And (8) Ability to find ways to learn on your own when you don't understand in class: Average 4.24 and 2 Suggestions regarding students' perceptions and attitudes towards self-directed learning include: awareness of the importance of the curriculum, studying in the classroom, learning through e-learning, adjusting attitude according to society and environment, Providing real work opportunities, The importance of practice, Respect for diverse opinions, and Practical emphasis
