Waste management by Zero Waste Community Learning Center, Hua Thanon Village, Phra Lap Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are (1) to study waste management in the Ban Hua Thanon community and (2) to study the organizational structure of the Ban Hua Thanon community. This research is qualitative research. Data were collected using a research tool, namely an interview form. The researcher will conduct in-depth individual interviews. The results of the study found that Waste management within the community uses the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), which can help Hua Thanon villages. Reduce the amount of waste in the community. It also adds value to waste, creates income, and creates sustainability for the community. These management practices begin with instilling in people in the community the value and dangers of waste. Through public relations of village leaders and village committees, as a result, Hua Thanon Village has villagers working together to properly manage waste in the community step by step, and learning the organizational structure Zero west waste-free community learning center, which is an official group and has a role in carrying out various activities within the community to be free of garbage. This organization was born to create stability in sustainable waste management. This may be coordinated with outside individuals or groups for the public interest, and the interests of their own communities play a huge role in organizing various activities within the village It can be considered as creating good relationships between people in the community, and being a medium for communicating with the government regarding budget support.
