Buddhist - Oriented Political Behavior in Exercising the Right to Vote for Members of Parliament among Ethnic Groups in Na Chaluai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract
This research article aims to (1) study the level of political behavior in exercising the right to vote for members of the House of Representatives among ethnic groups in Na Chaluai District, (2) compare the political behavior in exercising the right to vote for members of the House of Representatives among ethnic groups in Na Chaluai District, and (3) explore ways to promote Buddhist political behavior in exercising the right to vote for members of the House of Representatives among ethnic groups in Na Chaluai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, applying the principles of integrity. This study employs a mixed-methods approach. The quantitative sample consists of 205 individuals from ethnic groups in Na Chaluai District. Statistical analysis includes frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test. For qualitative research, key informants were selected for in-depth interviews using a purposive sampling method, totaling 12 individuals. The findings indicate that (1) the overall level of political behavior is high, (2) the comparison of political behavior in exercising the right to vote for members of the House of Representatives among ethnic groups shows significant statistical differences based on age, education level, occupation, average monthly income, ethnicity, and principles of integrity, while gender does not show significant differences in political behavior, and (3) the ways to promote Buddhist political behavior in exercising the right to vote for members of the House of Representatives among ethnic groups, based on the principles of integrity, suggest that (1) individuals should be honest about regulations when exercising their rights and seek additional election information, (2) refrain from slandering one another and present knowledge to the public based on the principle of truth, and
(3) relevant agencies involved in the election should provide guidance to ethnic groups in making political decisions.
