THE INFLUENCE OF ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM USAGE ON THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS AT PITCHAYABUNDIT COLLEGE

This study aimed to 1) examine the level of online learning platform usage among pre-service teachers, 2) investigate their academic achievement, and 3) analyze the influence of online learning platform usage on academic achievement. The research employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and explanatory designs. The sample consisted of 150 pre-service teachers at Pichayabundit College, selected through stratified random sampling. Research instruments included a questionnaire on online learning platform usage and an academic achievement test, both demonstrating high reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that 1) the overall level of online learning platform usage was high (M = 4.18, SD = 0.47), with content accessibility showing the highest mean score; 2) online learning platform usage was positively correlated with academic achievement at a statistically significant level of .01 (r = 0.62); and 3) online learning platform usage significantly influenced academic achievement, explaining 50% of the variance (R² = 0.50). Among the predictors, content accessibility had the strongest effect, followed by frequency of use, ease of use, and interaction.
