Abstract

This study aimed to (1) develop and examine the suitability of a school administration model based on the PABA Model to enhance students’ 3Rs skills, (2) investigate the effectiveness of the model by comparing students’ 3Rs skills before and after implementation, (3) evaluate its impact on learning achievement in reading, writing, and arithmetic, and (4) examine students’ satisfaction with the learning management. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach combined with a quasi-experimental design. The target group consisted of 46 Grade 1–3 students at Ban Nong Aek School. The research instruments included the PABA Model, lesson plans, a 3Rs skills test, a model suitability assessment form, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and dependent samples t-test.

The results revealed that (1) the PABA Model demonstrated the highest level of suitability (x̄ = 4.78, S.D. = 0.32), (2) students’ 3Rs skills after the implementation were significantly higher than before at the .05 level (t = 15.32, p < .001), (3) learning achievement in reading, writing, and arithmetic significantly improved with large effect sizes, and (4) students’ overall satisfaction was at the highest level (x̄ = 4.68, S.D. = 0.43).

In conclusion, the developed PABA Model is effective in enhancing students’ 3Rs skills both statistically and practically, and can be applied to improve educational quality in a systematic and sustainable manner.
